LEWISTON — Patricia M. Bissonette, 82, of 20 Hutchinson St., died Saturday, Nov. 9, at her home, following a brief illness.
Born in Lewiston on Sept. 18, 1931, she was the daughter of Charles and Regina Arseneault Roberts. Educated in local schools, she attended Lewiston High School. On Sept. 1, 1951, she married the love of her life, Real “Ray” Bissonette, at St. Joseph’s Church in Lewiston. A dedicated homemaker, she also worked for many years at Clark Shoe and Bates Fabrics.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting and crocheting, was an enthusiastic bingo player and was known for her delicious baked goods.
A member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Sabattus, she is survived by her husband, Real “Ray” Bissonette, of Lewiston; two daughters, Patricia A. and husband, Bill Pollack, of Wales and Margaret “Peg” Bissonette of Lewiston; a special family friend, Doris Belanger of Lewiston; a brother, Richard Roberts and wife, Lorraine, of Lewiston; a sister, Mary E. Hinkley of Auburn; a granddaughter, Tracy M. Hall of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by five brothers and their spouses, Fred and wife, Minnie, Sam and wife, Gloria, William and wife, Beverly, John and wife, Agnes, and Albert and wife, Barbara; and three sisters and their spouses, Arlene and husband, Maurice Hiscock, Jane and husband, Gerard Cote, and Regina and husband, Lloyd Strout.
