TURNER — The Leavitt Nordic and downhill ski teams will hold a bottle drive on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 8:30 a.m. until mid-afternoon.
Skiers will be driving door to door across Turner, Leeds and Greene to collect returnables. Folks donating returnables will be entered into a raffle for a night at the Inn by the River in West Forks, nationally known for its access to activities ranging from hiking to hunting to fishing and more.
For those who want to make a cash donation, they will be entered into a separate drawing for two Celtics tickets.
The bottle drive benefits the Leavitt Nordic and Alpine teams through the Ski Boosters Organization, which assists the teams with uniforms, skis, waxes and other equipment.
If donors will not be home on Nov. 30, they can call Mark Evans at 314-1769 and arrange a pick-up ahead of the bottle drive, or a more convenient time. Bottles can also be delivered to one of two collection points: Schrep’s Redemption at the corner of Route 117 and Cobb Road in Turner, and Greenhorn Redemption Center on Route 106 in Leeds.
