WATERVILLE — A Windsor woman was fortunate to escape injury Thursday night after her vehicle struck a parked car on West River Road and flipped onto its roof, police said.
Callie Thompson, 22, was headed northbound when she apparently took her eyes off the road to adjust a radio dial, Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey said.
Upon taking her eyes off the road, Thompson lost control and drifted to the right, striking a vehicle that was parked on the shoulder of the road, Rumsey said. The impact pushed the second vehicle into a third vehicle.
The crash occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m., Rumsey said, and was close to the downtown area.
Thompson refused medical treatment and was picked up at the scene by a friend, Rumsey said. She was wearing her seat belt. Her vehicle and the vehicle she struck were both towed from the scene.
No charges will be filed, Rumsey said.
