BANGOR — A local man was arrested early Sunday after an altercation with his girlfriend, police said.
David Tinker, 33, and the woman had been arguing throughout the night, according to Bangor police Sgt. Catherine Rumsey, and Tinker had also threatened to harm the woman.
At one point, the woman was standing on a chair attempting to retrieve an item from a cabinet when Tinker allegedly pulled the chair out from beneath her legs, the sergeant said.
The woman was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital while Tinker was placed under arrest, Rumsey said.
Tinker was charged with domestic violence assault and domestic violence terrorizing. He has since been released on bail from Penobscot County Jail.
