1942 – 2013

AUBURN — George DeWitt, 70, of Auburn, passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, in Auburn, with his wife and family by his side.

He was born on Dec. 4, 1942, in Old Town to parents, Paul and Norma (Stockwell) DeWitt. George was a member of the Decma Country Music Association. He enjoyed playing guitar, singing, going for rides and riding his four wheeler. He was retired from General Electric.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Brenda DeWitt; a son, Glenn DeWitt; three daughters, Melanie Clisham, Tracy Morris and Wanda Kimball; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

George was predeceased by his parents; a son, Dale Stockwell; and two daughters, Laurie Snow and Julie Clark.
