VFW members Chris Lowell and Paul Drouin coach the students of Mrs. Rose’s kindergarten and first-grade class on the proper way to fold a flag. All Oxford Hills Christian Academy students saw a presentation by Mrs. Meisner’s government class, which included representatives from the American Legion and the VFW. The presentation covered a flag-raising, history of the flag, why the Eagle was chosen as the national symbol, patriotism and a flag-folding demonstration. The program closed with all students having the opportunity to practice folding flags with the help of the guests.
