AUBURN — The Maine State Chamber of Commerce and the Maine Development Foundation are holding an event in Auburn to discuss how to grow the state’s workforce.

The organizations are gathering Tuesday morning at Procter & Gamble in Auburn to release the fourth edition in its “Making Maine Work” series.” This one focuses on the workforce.

The idea is to grow the workforce by 65,000 people by 2020. Areas of focus include putting more military veterans and disabled people to work, and to find ways to lure young people to Maine or to keep them in the state.

The first “Making Maine Work” report was released in 2010. Since then there have been two other reports focusing on universities and early childhood development. Another report is due in the spring.
