John Rice, director of operations at Schooner Estates Retirement Community in Auburn, gives a check to Mike Smith, director of special events at Camp Sunshine in Casco. Schooner Estates gave the camp a $500 donation as part of Schooner’s 25th anniversary “Giving Back to the Community” program, in an effort to support Schooner Estates’ residents’ charity of choice. Residents have, to date, donated $15,000 to Camp Sunshine over the years.
