FARMINGTON — Parents and teachers are preparing pies and breads for Cascade Brook School’s sixth annual pie and bread sale next week.
The sale will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, in the school library, parent organizer Tami Labul said.
Money raised from the baked goods made by parents, teachers and others affiliated with the school goes toward enrichment programs and activities not covered in the school budget, she said.
“It’s our biggest fundraiser,” Labul said. “It has the most community involvement.”
Pies will include Thanksgiving favorites, such as apple and pumpkin, and special ones, such as pumpkin cheesecake, she said.
Along with traditional yeast rolls and breads, there will be sweet breads.
It’s great for anyone “who doesn’t want to make their own pies,” she said. Nearly 40 pies are expected for the sale, she said.
Any leftover pies or breads will be given to those in need. “Nothing goes to waste,” Labul said.
For more information, contact the school at 778-4821 or Labul at 441-1595 or tlabul@hciwireless.net.
