MEXICO — Funeral services for Shirley Mawhinney of Rumford were conducted at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the First Baptist Church of Mexico, 20 Roxbury Road, Mexico, with the Rev. Tony Rea officiating. Organist was Timothy Blodgett. Music selections included “The Old Rugged Cross,” “In the Garden,” “Face to Face with Christ My Savior,” and “Stand Up For Jesus.” Eulogy was presented by Shirley’s daughter, Jan Arsenault. “A Grammies Poem” was read by her granddaughter, Tausha Plante. Pall bearers were Craig Hewins, Craig Woods, Peter John Peare, Erick Mawhinney, Derek Baltrus and Avery Bradeen. Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Tony Rea. Interment was in the Farrington-Morton Cemetery, Mexico. A reception followed at the First Baptist Church of Mexico. Arrangements were under the care of the MEADER & SON FUNERAL HOME, 3 Franklin S., P. O. Box 537, Rumford, ME 04276.
