RUMFORD — Funeral services with military honors for John B. “Jack” Flagg were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Meader and Son Funeral Home, Rumford, with Pastor Carol Stevens officiating. Music included “The Old Rugged Cross.” Prayers were given by Oscar Hebert, past district commander and chaplain of the Dixfield American Legion Post 100. Poem and words of remembrance were given by Morgan and Karra Flagg. Committal services were conducted by Pastor Carol Stevens and Chaplain Oscar Hebert. Interment was at the Demerritt Cemetery, West Peru. Military honors were provided by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program from Augusta. A reception followed at the American Legion Post 100, Dixfield.
