BOSTON, Mass. — Raymond Floyd Kennard, 63, of South Paris, died Sunday, Nov. 24, at Massachusetts General Hospital.
He was born in Westbrook on March 21, 1950, the son of Raymond Elwood and Geneva Douglass Kennard. He attended schools in Harrison and Norway. He married Brenda Averill on Sept. 4, 1976. He had been employed at local saw mills, operating a debarking machine.
Raymond was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, where he served as treasurer and a deacon. He enjoyed gardening and the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of South Paris; a son, Raymond R. and his fiancée, Tamra Shelly, of Hampden; a daughter, Holly Stull and her husband, David, of Etters, Pa.; grandchildren, Alex Kennard and Gabrielle Kennard; three step-grandchildren, Christopher Shelly, Rowan Shelly and Rosie Shelly; two sisters, Sandra Berry of Mechanic Falls and Elaine Allard of South Paris; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
