Rumford Elks memorial service
RUMFORD — The Rumford Lodge of Elks No. 862 will hold their annual Memorial Service honoring their deceased members throughout the year. The service will be held at their lodge at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 1.
There will be a light lunch following the service. Members who have passed include Robert Dube, Clifford Stacey, Jean P. Blouin and Anthony Jannace. All family and friends are invited to the special service.
Stephens High Class of 1952
MEXICO — The Class of 1952 from Stephens High of Rumford will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at Dick’s for their monthly class lunch. All class members and guests welcome.
Writers group to start at LPL
LEWISTON — Beginning Wednesday, Dec. 4, a group of writers will meet at the Lewiston Public Library once each month to discuss their writings, share ideas and critique each other’s work.
The group will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Dec. 4, in the Couture Room of the Lewiston Public Library, 200 Lisbon St.

Mexico High Class of 1964
MEXICO — The Mexico High School Class of 1964 will have their class lunch at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at the Far East Restaurant.

Holiday raffle at Ludden
DIXFIELD — Ludden Memorial Library will hold a Happy Holidays Christmas Raffle.
Tickets are on sale at the library and at Mrs. B’s Country Store in Peru. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. A beautiful Christmas basket was made possible with a donation of $100 by Applied Technical Services, Inc. of Rumford and a donation from Mrs. B’s Country Store.
Some of the items included in the basket are a $30 Hannaford gift card; Taste of Home Christmas cookbook with hundreds of delicious recipes; teddy bear; two coffee mugs; pair of hand-knit slippers; book of Christmas stories by popular authors; various food items; specialty tea and a $10 gift card from Mrs. B’s Country Store.
