PORTLAND — Riverview Foundation will hold its sixth annual Kick for Kids kick-a-thon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Ocean Gateway Terminal.

In addition to food, music and other family fun, the event will feature eight kicking teams — more than 100 kickers of all ages and abilities — who have been sponsored by friends and supporters to reach their kicking goals. After six kick-a-thons, the total number of kicks will surpass one million this year.

Kick for Kids raises money for Riverview’s Kids Who Care, a community service initiative designed for youth with diversified backgrounds to come together with the goal of supporting and improving the lives of Maine’s children.

This year, Kids Who Care will be joined by another community initiative, the Cumberland County Let’s Go! 5210 program.
