POWNAL — Lena Denise Gilleland, 93, died Thursday, Nov. 21, in Pownal.

Born in Brunswick, April 25, 1920, the daughter of Eddie and Yvonne Helie Paiement. She graduated from Brunswick High School in 1936.

She is survived by children, Carol Goodale (Dean) of Pownal, Michael Gilleland (Elisabeth Parrish) of Conyers, Ga., Mark Gilleland (Lisa Bowden) of Barnet, Vt., and Paula Gray of Lewiston; brothers, George Paiement of Bedford, N.H., and Robert Paiement of Penfield, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
