1929 – 2013

SANFORD — The soul of Gloria R. Raymond-Norwood, 84, of New Vineyard, peacefully left her body with her son at her side at 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27.

She was born in Rangeley on Sept. 22, 1929, the daughter of Lewey and Isma Raymond. She was a seamstress and a member of the Red Hat Society and Quilting Club. She enjoyed quilting, volunteering, and donating. Gloria loved cats and playing with kittens and also being generous to those in need.

Gloria is survived by sister, Edith McLeod; six children; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and countless friends.

She was predeceased by longtime companion, Bob Kennedy.

Please don’t mourn her passing as we would rather you celebrate her life.
