LIVERMORE FALLS – Funeral services for S. Paul Washburn of Livermore Falls were held Tuesday, Nov. 26, from the First Baptist Church, Church Street, with the Rev. John Hall officiating. Congregational hymns included “He Leadeth Me” and “My Jesus, I Love Thee.” The organist was Valerie Messana, and soloist Dianne Hirsh sang “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “In The Garden.” L. Gary Knight offered the eulogy. Scripture readings included Romans 8:35-39, Revelation 21:1-4 and Psalm 23. The services concluded with the Odd Fellows memorial service and Oriental Star Lodge Masonic services. The church hospitality committee hosted a comfort reception in the church vestry. Pallbearers were Lauriston Gile, Ronald Deering, Steve Lindsey, Dale Tobey, Daniel Tobey, Dana Tobey, David Tobey and Steve Lindsey. Interment was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at the Parish Cemetery, York. Arrangements were in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Centers: Cremation Service and Funeral Home, 308 Franklin Road, Jay.
