An unknown Lewiston and Auburn Electric Light Co. lineman stopped what might have turned out to be a dangerous run-away on Main street, Auburn, at about 5:15 o’clock last night. The horse of a delivery team from the Atwood Market, Lewiston, driven by Linwood Timberlake, twelve-year-old son of E.H. Timberlake, proprietor of the market, became frightened and started to gallop when the front axle broke letting one of the wheels fail off. The accident happened in front of Holmes’ Market, 108 Main street, Auburn, and the horse was stopped in front of L.W. Haskell’s at 107 Main street. The lineman leaped from a passing team, stopped the running horse, and then went his way, only stopping long enough to make sure that the boys could take care of their horse.
