SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Air Force Airman 1st Class Kristen Marcum graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Marcum is the daughter of Darlene and Dan Tremblay of Turner and the granddaughter of Rita and Bob Tremblay of Lewiston. She is the wife of Senior Airman Jacob Marcum of Lewiston, who is the grandson of Dora and Bob Marcum of Lewiston.

She is a 2007 graduate of Henry Clay High School, Lexington, Ky.
