Returning players: Seniors — Victoria Ouellette (5-10 forward), Ladesta Tracy (5-5 guard); Juniors — Samantha Richards (6-0 center), Nicole Hamblin (5-7 guard), Kailee Newcomb (5-5 guard), Amanda Castonguay (5-6 guard), Amia Pelletier (5-6 forward), Vanese Barnes (5-8 forward), Emily Keene (5-7 forward); Sophomore — Emily Hogan (5-4 guard).
Promising newcomers: Sophomore — Rylee Moore (5-10 forward); Freshmen — Alex Bessey (5-6 guard), Brooke Tracy (5-11 center).
Outlook: The Phoenix return almost all of their team from last year that went unbeaten in the regular season and won the MVC title. Spruce Mountain also has Ouellette back from a knee injury that cost her most of last season. Keene, Newcomb and Hamblin were the top three scorers, averaging around eight or nine points per game. Richards and Barnes were regular contributors as well. Spruce Mountain should be among the top teams in the MVC and hopes to test the waters in a challenging Western B tourney.
