AUBURN — Uncle Andy’s Digest, 9 Grove St., announces the addition of Angie Lafrance to its sales staff.

Lafrance was born and raised in Lewiston. She is the daughter of Tim and Chris Lafrance, owners of a sign business in Lewiston. Helping her parents in the family’s business was partly responsible in inspiring her to work for Uncle Andy’s Digest.

Starting off by sweeping floors at the age of 14 in her parents’ store, she worked her way up to production and graphic design. More recently she had begun handling some of the marketing for the business. It was that aspect that sparked her interest in making a career out of marketing and advertising.

Lafrance is a graduate of Lewiston High School where she was a member of the women’s lacrosse team and Art Club. She is a strong advocate for the arts and likes to paint and draw with charcoal. In 2004, she was offered a merit scholarship by Maine College of Art for her portfolio and was also the recipient of a Scholastic Key Award. Angie is a member of the Young Professionals of the Lewiston Auburn Area and resides in Auburn.
