Seventy actors of all ages will sing and dance their way through the Community Little Theatre holiday production of “A Christmas Carol – The Musical,” which opens for a two-weekend run on Dec. 6. 

This musical version “A Christmas Carol” played at New York’s Madison Square Garden for 10 holiday seasons from 1994 to 2003. Its score, its choreography and its handsome costumes and set enrich the classic Charles Dickens’ story.
Mitchell Clyde Thomas, who directs this production, performed the role of Scrooge in CLT’s 2012 staging. Thomas, a veteran singer, actor and
director, has worked with theatrical groups for youth over many years. 

Shawn Robitaille, a popular CLT performer in several recent musicals, plays Scrooge in the current production. Benjamin Proctor portrays Marley’s Ghost,  Maddy Leslie plays the Ghost of Christmas Past, Dan Kane is the Ghost of Christmas Present, and CLT newcomer Paula Kaiser plays the Ghost of Christmas Future. The role of Bob Cratchit is played by Anthony Morin and 9-year-old Mai Luu portrays Tiny Tim. CarlaRose Dubois returns to the CLT stage as Mrs. Cratchit, and Katie Luu, Noah Keneborus, and Pieta Dubois play the remaining Cratchit children.

The cast also includes Dan Crawford as Mr. Fezziwig and Stefanie Lynn
as Mrs. Fezziwig, roles they both played in previous productions. Jason Pelletier, another popular CLT performer, plays both Scrooge as a young man and his nephew, Fred Anderson. 

Danielle Eaton, who is the show’s co-choreographer with Audrey Martin, plays Sally Anderson and Anna Gravél plays Scrooge’s lost love, Emily. Other principal members of the cast are Peter Cyr as Mr. Smythe and Chantal Cyr and Mallory Haynes-White are the Smythe children.

Hayden Thomas, who is the show’s co-producer, plays Jonathon and Ethan Rombalski plays Jack.  Nakesha Myrick, co-producer, is Mrs. Mopps, Phil Vampatella is Old Joe, Alexandre Roy and Jack Desrosiers play young Ebenezer at 8 and 12, and Abigail Langelier plays his sister Fan.
Scrooge’s mother and father are played by Tracy Kapocius and Jay Barrett,  Dan Burgess is the Beadle and Owen Kane plays Young Jacob Marley.

A large, multigenerational cast of singers and dancers will contribute to the grand production. 

The show’s assistant director and set designer is Glynnis Nadel, and music director is Gabrielle Valle.
Performances of CLT’s “A Cristmas Carol – The Musical” are at Great Falls Performing Arts Center, 30 Academy St.  in Auburn. The show’s nine performances over two weekends are at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Dec. 6-7 and 13-14, and Thursday, Dec. 12. Sunday shows are at 2 p.m. Dec. 8 and 15, and there is an added Saturday matinee at 2 p.m. Dec. 14, at which Santa will be in attendance. For tickets call 783-0958 or go online to www.laclt.com.
