1936 – 2013
LEWISTON — George W. Cole, 77, a resident of 440 Minot Ave., Auburn, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 4, at Central Maine Medical Center, following a pedestrian accident in Auburn.
He was born in Auburn on Nov. 5, 1936, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon H. Cole. George was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was most proud of his employment as a head bell hop for major hotels throughout the country during his working years.
He was a loyal member of Pathway Vineyard Church and was an avid New England sports fan, especially the New England Patriots. George was most proud of his family, his children, his grandchildren and his loving wife, Jane.
Besides his wife, Jane, of Lewiston, he is survived by two sons, Nathan Footer and wife, Jenna, and Orlando Perez, all of Lewiston; one daughter, Donika Jordan and husband, Bill, of Pownal; one sister, Lucia Albertson and husband, William, of Bedford, N.H.; and two grandsons, Wyatt and Noah; as well as nieces and nephews.
