AUBURN — During the school year, Court Street Baptist Church features a gathering meal at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

On Nov. 6, culinary arts freshmen from Central Maine Community College helped prepare the toss salad and learned the fine art of bread making from Hester Gilpatric.

Ten loaves of French bread are needed for the meal.

The Wednesday gathering program includes a sing-a-long, youth and children program, devotional and testimony from adults and prayer meeting from 6:45 to 7:30 p.m.

Attendance has grown to 45 adults and about the same number of youth and children.

Children eat free.

The Wednesday morning ladies “Helping Hands” class help with vegetables and fruit peeling as menu dictates.

Desserts are inspired by Leslie Parker.
