OXFORD — Carroll and Shirley Stevens of Oxford celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family at their home at Thompson Lake in Oxford on Aug. 3. They were married on Aug. 23, 1953 at Turner Village Church in Turner.

The couple has six children, Ann and Brian Doane of Litchfield, N.H., Sheryl and Miles Olstad of Farmington, N.H., Sharon and Walter Goss of Mechanic Falls, Cynthia and Ed Engel of Troy, N.Y., and Carroll Jr. and Susie Stevens of Rochester, N.H., and Lisa and Ken Bates of Grand Haven, Mich. They also have 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, many of whom were in attendance.

The couple was presented with a book of photos full of memories of their past from childhood to the present. The grandchildren gave them a booklet of favorite memories of their grandparents over the years. They also received many cards and gifts.
