1917 – 2013

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. — Elsie Barlow, 96, formerly of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 6, after a brief illness.

She was born in Cambridge, Md., on April 25, 1917, the eldest child of Julia (Stocker) and Emile Bottcher. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, ready smile and infectious laughter. She leaves a legacy of loving mother, proud grandmother and steadfast friend.

She is survived by her children, Donald and Mercedes, Jerry and Jackie, Lynn and Naomi, Dennis and Carrie McCreery, Denine and Rex Warner and Sheri and Joel Olstein; grandchildren, Drew, Casey, Jerry Jr., Laura, Sean, Kimberly, Paul, Rachel, Rebecca, Aaron, Dena, Andrea, Alex, Leslie, Sarah and Zach; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, George Barlow Sr.; sister, Martha Harder; and brothers, Herman, Walter, Robert, Mace and John Bottcher.
