MEXICO — The Women’s Fellowship of the Mexico Congregational Church, United Church of Christ (the “Green Church”) will host a Christmas dinner and social evening at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12. All women of the church are invited. A white envelope collection will be taken and donated to a church discretionary fund.

The church choir will enjoy lunch and a social time at the home of the director, Jo Ellen Winslow, on Dec. 14.

The Sunday School students will present their Christmas pageant during the 10 a.m. worship service on Dec. 15.

On Sunday, Dec. 22, the choir, directed and accompanied by Jo Ellen Winslow, and a lay reader will present a cantata titled “A Ceremony of Lessons and Carols” during the 10 a.m. worship service.

A Christmas Eve service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 11 p.m. The service will include scripture readings by Pastor Izzie Radford-Nash and lay readers and the congregation singing traditional carols. Candles in the Advent wreath having been lit during the Sundays of Advent, the final and central Christ Candle will be lit. The choir will present a special anthem. At midnight each person in attendance will light an individual candle from the Christ Candle, and all will join in a circle around the darkened sanctuary to sing “Silent Night.”

The community is invited to attend these services.
