JAY — A Wilton man was injured Sunday night when his pickup truck left Route 4 on Jay Hill and rolled over, police Chief Larry White Sr. said Tuesday.
Officer Nicholas Gulliver responded to the accident at 9:37 p.m.
Driver Damian Osgood, 29, told police he fell asleep, White said. The 2011 Dodge truck was heading north, crossed the centerline, went off the road hit a mailbox and rolled over, he said.
Osgood was taken by a NorthStar EMS ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.
Jay firefighters assisted Gulliver at the scene, White said.
The truck was a total loss, he said.
