1940 – 2013

AUBURN — Paul J. Labrecque, 73, of Lewiston, passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, with family by his side after a long illness.

He was born in Burlington, Vt., on Aug. 15, 1940, the son of Joseph and Mildred Labrecque.

Paul is survived by his seven children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved being with his family and friends, always there whenever anyone needed him, no matter what time of day or night. Paul was always there for the community if there was a fire or an emergency; he was there for anyone who just needed a helping hand.

Paul was predeceased by his father, Joseph Labrecque, in 1974; and his mother, Mildred Labrecque, in 1987; along with his loving wife and great mother to his children, Shirley Labrecque, in September 2008.

The family wishes to extend a very special thank-you to the staff at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn for the excellent care and compassion given to Paul J. Labrecque and his family in his final days.
