LEWISTON — The Chamber and YPLAA are teaming up with Androscoggin County Head Start, Advocates for Children, Tri County Mental Health and Safe Voices to brighten the holidays for local families in need.

The goal is to donate as many gifts as the groups have members, 1,400 presents.

From now until Dec. 19, the public is invited to donate new toys and clothes, appropriate for children age 0-18.

Unwrapped items can be brought to one of the following places:

* The Chamber at 415 Lisbon St., Lewiston. Call 783-2249 to arrange pick up to “stuff the bus” in the Chamber Kids for the Holidays Bus on Dec. 18 (local pick up only).

* Bring the items to the Chamber Breakfast on Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Ramada.

* Bring the items to the Business After Hours at Lost Valley on Dec. 19. Representatives of Head Start, Advocates for Children, Tri County Mental Health Services, Safe Voices and other organizations will be attending Business After Hours to thank Chamber members and collect the items for the kids.
