FARMINGTON — SugarWood Gallery will host the drawing for a quilt made by the Tuesday Quilters of Farmington that will benefit the Franklin County Heating Fund.

An open house reception is scheduled for 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, during which time a drawing will be held for the quilt, pillows and accessories. The public is invited and refreshments will be served.

The quilt measures 60 inches by 80 inches. Tickets remain on sale at SugarWood Gallery at 248 Broadway up until the drawing. Raffle tickets are $1 per ticket or $5 for six.

According to the Rev. Susan Crane, ECU Heat coordinator, the goal is to raise $50,000 through this and other fundraising events.

The ECU program is designed to help seniors and people with disabilities, as well as families facing unemployment, or underemployment, or chronically low income. ECU Heat hopes to be able to assist more than 300 households this winter with a 50-gallon delivery (oil or equivalent), once per heating season.

SugarWood Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
