AUBURN — The West Auburn Congregational Church will hold its annual Christmas Pageant at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, at the church, 811 West Auburn Road.

It will be a multi-generational performance with a real baby playing the part of Jesus. Whitney and Chuck Buker will be Mary and Joseph and their son, Ford, will be Jesus.

George Buker will portray Innkeeper as he has for many years. The Three Kings, Matthew Kovacevich, Dick Creighton and Peter Lasagna, will present the gifts to the Baby Jesus while the shepherds will be led by Doug Gilpatric, Zachariah Gilpatric and Alex Cote, along with many assistants.

Many angels will be on hand including Emma, Audrey, Riley and Casey Mileikas as well as other members of the congregation. There will even be some animals represented. For example, Liam Kovacevich will portray an ox. The Readers, under the direction of June Spear, will be Alex and Donna Cote, Sydney and Wendy Gilpatric, Elizabeth Creighton, Marty and Cheryl Lang, Josh, Jed, and Jessie Hiss-Quint, and Bob and Diane O’Connor.

At the end of the performance, all of the people in the church will form a large circle and light candles to sing Silent Night. Charles Marshall will be organist and Bill Hiss will be the leader.

A birthday party for Jesus will be held in the vestry immediately following the service. Visitors are welcome.
