WOODSTOCK — A tenant in an apartment building on Main Street had to find a temporary place to live on Friday night following a fire, Woodstock fire Lt. Kyle Hoppes said Friday evening.
At about 5 p.m., Woodstock and Greenwood firefighters were sent to a structure fire at 4 South Main St. in Woodstock. When crews arrived, they used a thermal imaging camera to find fire in the walls of the two-story building, Hoppes said.
One or more fire extinguishers were then used to put out the fire. Damage was estimated at less than $1,000, he said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Hoppes said he didn’t know who lived in the building or who owns it. PACE Paramedic Service of Norway also responded, but there were no injuries, he said.
