1950 – 2013

BOWDOIN — Robert “Bob” M. George passed away at his home on Tuesday, Dec. 10, after years of illness.

He was born in September 1950, the son of Alfred and Annie Stone. He married Heidi Williamson in 1972.

Bob attended Oxford schools, joined the U.S. Navy and worked for PW, NASB for 16 years, until his retirement. He enjoyed family, friends, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include Heidi and his daughter, Melissa; son, Michael and wife, Susan; grandchildren, Katherin, Dylan, Jacob and Corey; sisters, Rose, Gloria and husband, Paul, and Sandi and husband, Mike; brother, Peter; brother-in-law, Gary and wife, Cindy; many nieces and nephews; and friends, Gerry and Dot, Wendall, Lace, Ted and Penny, Bruce and Rita, Jerry and Becky and many more.

He was predeceased by his mother, Annie; sister, LeeAnn; and brothers, Freddie and Gilbert.
