Trailblazers meet Dec. 18

MEXICO — The Mexico Trailblazers Snowmobile Club will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, downstairs at the Mexico Town Hall on Route 2. All are welcome.

Think Snow dance tickets and raffle tickets are available for the event on Jan. 11.

The club is in need of firewood for the clubhouse. Donations can be dropped off at the groomer building on Pine Street or by calling the number above.

Widows, widowers meet Dec. 20

MEXICO — WOWS Widows or Widowers Sharing will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at the Covered Wagon for Christmas lunch.

Elks to hold annual hoop shoot

MEXICO — Rumford Lodge of Elks No. 862 will host their annual Hoop Shoot on Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Mexico Recreation Center.

The event starts at 9 a.m., with registration at 8:30. It is open to all boys and girls ages 8 to 13. A copy of the birth certificate will be needed to verify age, and parents are needed to sign forms.

Candlelight services on Dec. 24

DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Congregational Church will have Christmas Eve candlelight services at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24. The church is on High Street.

The service will include readings, special music and a short message by The Rev. John Gensel. All are welcome.
