1951 – 2013

AUBURN — Marcia Jackson Chretien, 62, of Livermore Falls, died Sunday morning, Dec. 15, at the Hospice House in Auburn.

She was born in Farmington on Nov. 6, 1951, the daughter of Willard N. Jackson and Minnie (Perry) Jackson. She attended school in Farmington and received her diploma in 1987 from Livermore Falls High School. On Aug. 8, 1970, at St. Mary’s Church in Wilton, she married Maurice “Moe” Chretien; he passed away on Sept. 7, 2009.

Marcia camped and worked security at Dummer’s Beach in Weld and in the kitchen at Pomeroy Hill Nursing Home in Livermore Falls. For several years, she and Moe ran a food bank out of their home, helping many people throughout the community. She enjoyed doing crafts, but more than anything Marcia was devoted to her family and home, and especially loved caring for them.

She is survived by three sons, Mark Chretien and his wife, Angela, of Livermore, Tommy Chretien of Livermore Falls and Joseph Chretien and his wife, Lee Ann, of Hebron; her daughter, Sherry Chretien and her companion, Dean Spencer, of Livermore Falls; eight grandchildren, Tyrone, Alexandria, Elizabeth, Shawna, Mickenzi, Elise, Marisa and Amanda; siblings, Willard and Linda Jackson, William and Lillian Flagg, William and Romona Hale, Raymond and JoAnn Jackson, Richard and Jeanne Jackson, Theresa Violette, Wanita Lagasse, Gary and Betty Tripp, Joan Jackson and companion, Tim Hastings, James and Linda Chretien and George Jackson and his wife, Sylvia; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband; parents; sister, Muriel Clark; sisters-in-law, Anita and Elizabeth Chretien; and brothers-in-law, Daniel Violette, Ronald Lagasse, Herman Clark, Philip and Roger Chretien.
