FARMINGTON — Gary Allen LaGrange, of Wilton, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 15, in Farmington.

He was born in Lewiston on May 25, 1950, to Norma Mae Donovan LaGrange and Eddie Loraine LaGrange.

Gary was a loving father, grandfather, brother, friend and volunteer. He spent his life as a woodworker and his career with Maine Community Action agencies, building and repairing homes, facilitating fuel assistance programs, conducting energy audits and teaching homebuyer education programs to all of Franklin County.

He began and ended each and every day with his music, introducing his children to genres such as jazz, bluegrass, classic rock, classical and everything in between.

He could often be found puttering in his garage, creating handmade gifts for his granddaughters. In the summer, he never passed up a chance to go golfing or kayaking, keeping track of all bodies of water he had been to in his Maine Gazetteer.
