NORWAY — The Norway Historical Society will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14. The public is welcome.

Members will be asked to approve changing the society’s bylaws to reflect the curator having voting privileges on the Board of Trustees.

The meeting will include a recap of activities in a very busy and successful 2013, a summary of new acquisitions and acknowledgement of all the work done by the society’s volunteers.

The society is also initiating a special award, in honor of Father Don L. McAllister, a Norway native, former president and longtime friend and supporter of the historical society.

The Rev. Don L. McAllister Volunteer Award will be given at the meeting for exceptional dedication by a volunteer.

The business meeting will be followed by refreshments. In case of inclement weather, the meeting will be rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 6:30 p.m.
