DANVERS, Mass. — Helen (Stark) Caron, 89, of Danvers, Mass., and formerly of Auburn, died peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Brentwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Danvers, where she had been lovingly cared for during the past five months.

She was born on Oct. 10, 1924, in Belleville, Kan., the daughter of Willis Orville and Viva (Ard) Stark. She graduated from the University of Kansas in 1947, and worked as a bacteriologist and later as a medical secretary. She married Dr. Alexis A. Caron in 1960, in Phoenix, Ariz. As they raised their family, they lived in Lewiston, in Durham for many years and then in Auburn, before moving to Danvers, Mass., in 2011.

Helen is survived by her husband; her four children, Amy Pierce and her husband, Jack, of Winchester, Mass., Elise of Auburn, Philip and his wife, Donna, of Rockport and John and his wife, Alicia, of Boxford, Mass.; her eight beloved grandchildren, Ian, Lindsay, Caroline, Nathan, Mallory, Thomas, Will and Maggie; and her brother, Dr. James R. Stark.

She was predeceased by her sister, Marjorie Harrison.
