LEWISTON — On the occasion of her 30th anniversary in the real estate business, Brenda Fontaine, owner and broker with Fontaine Family — The Real Estate Leader, was honored with the Community Service Award from Make-A-Wish Maine.
Adam Dunbar, a board member with Make-A- Wish Maine, and Rebecca Leaming, development manager, made a surprise appearance at Brenda Fontaine’s community celebration for her 30th year in the real estate industry.
“We are here tonight to honor Brenda and the Fontaine Family with the Community Spirit Award,” said Leaming. “The award recognizes organizations or individuals outside of Make-A-Wish that make significant contributions to our cause over a period of time.”
Leaming noted that with their loyalty and dedication, the Fontaine Family has raised more than $20,000 for Make-A-Wish since 2008.
“They are consistently one of the top walk teams in our Walk For Wishes Campaign,” said Leaming. “In fact, they are usually the top team in the number of participants and dollars raised.”
In addition to raising dollars for the organization, Brenda Fontaine and the Fontaine Team provide valuable awareness in the Lewiston- Auburn area about the mission to provide wishes for youngsters with life-threatening medical conditions.
