1950 – 2013
WEST PARIS — Carrie O. Jackson, 63, of West Paris, passed away on Friday, Dec. 20, at Ledgeview Living Center, surrounded by her family and friends following a long battle with lung disease.
She was born in Lewiston on Nov. 18, 1950, the daughter of the late Henry W. Jackson and Rosabelle Mae Campbell Jackson. She went to school at Leavitt Area High School and not long after, met her long-time companion, the late Donald Cox, and chose to make her home in Woodstock.
She spent her years being a wonderful mother and homemaker, always having lots of love to give to all the children in the neighborhood. She had a great love of Elvis Presley and will forever be remembered for never having forgotten to send a birthday, anniversary or holiday card to a loved one.
She leaves behind a son, Donald “Tucky” Jackson and his wife, Stephanie, of Woodstock; grandchildren, Katrina Bean and husband, Robert, of South Paris and Travis Jackson of Woodstock; great-grandchildren, Cody A. Bean and Autumn P. Bean of South Paris; brothers, Edgar Jackson and wife, Maria, of Nashua, N.H., Ronald Jackson and wife, Ursel, of Fayetteville, Ark., and Tom Jackson and wife, Laurie, of Bradford, Vt.; sisters, Bee Conrad and husband, Roy, of Mt. Bethel, Pa., and Frances Caswell and husband, Richard, of Bellmont, Mass.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Kenny Jackson and her twin, Elmer Jackson.
