1954 – 2013
AUBURN — Alphonse A. Bourque, 59, of Auburn, died unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 23, at his home.
He was born in Lewiston on July 7, 1954, the son of Adelard and Antoinette (Gregoire) Bourque. Al attended St. Peter’s School in Lewiston and was a graduate of St. Dominic’s Regional High School. Al was a longtime employee at Jones and Vining and Gates Formed Fiber. He was also very proud to have just recently obtained his accounting degree from Central Maine Community College.
He was a member of St. Philip’s Church, where he sang in the choir. He was also a member and treasurer of the Andy Valley Council No. 2173 of the Knights of Columbus in Auburn.
Al was a very positive person, who enjoyed helping his family. He also enjoyed fishing and going to the ocean, as well as listening to country music. He was most proud of his second cousin, Alicia Gregoire, whom was more like a niece to him.
Survivors include many cousins.
