1922 – 2013

HARRISON — Dorothy M. Latham, 91, died on Saturday, Dec. 28, following a brief illness.

She was born on May 4, 1922, the daughter of William and Berdena Marcque Morrison. She attended local schools graduating from Bridgton Academy in 1940. She married Robert M. Latham in 1943. He died in 1970. Dorothy, a lifelong resident of Harrison, worked as a cook and laundress at several area camps including Long Lake Lodge and Camp Bendito. She loved to knit and sew and made many quilts for her family. In her younger years, she and her husband, Bob, spent many happy summers at their camp on Long Lake.

Surviving are her daughters, Nancy L. Pieri and husband, Kent, of Voorheesville, N.Y., and Cynthia L. Wentworth and husband, Steve, of Bridgton; and a son, Timothy R. Latham of Hartland. Other survivors include a sister, Priscilla McGarry and husband, Rod, of Portland; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Hazen and David Morrison.
