1923 – 2014

OXFORD — William “Bill” Joseph Jackson Sr., of Oxford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 1.

He was born in Dana, Mass., on Aug. 8, 1923, the son of Linwood and Clara (Richardson) Jackson. Bill faithfully served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was an avid gardener and clock maker.

Bill is survived by his five sons, Bill Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Oxford, Bob and wife, Gloria, of Tucson, Ariz., Dave and wife, Peggy, of McKinney, Texas, Pete of Oxford and Tim of St. Louis, Mo.; three daughters, Debbie and husband, Steve Trebilcock, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Pam and husband, Hillary Ruske, of Adams, Md., and Kim and husband, Craig McAllister, of Tucson, Ariz.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Bill was predeceased by his wife, Beryl (Culbert) Jackson; four brothers, Lynwood, Dick, Ted and Harold; and a sister, Louise Belanger.
