BETHEL — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing is offering a free winter trails day for cancer patients, survivors and their immediate family members. The celebration of cancer survivors will take place Saturday, Jan. 11 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Carter’s Ski Center, 786 Intervale Rd in Bethel.
The Dempsey Center, Cancer Community Center and Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center collaborated with Carter’s to celebrate cancer survivorship while enjoying some of the best Nordic ski trails in Maine. Free ski package rentals and free trail passes will be available for cancer patients, survivors, and their immediate family members (others may purchase a trail pass and/or rentals.) Snowshoers are also welcome. Help will be available for beginners and there will be soups and stews for lunch. Pre-registration is required.
