AUBURN — The Auburn Art Club will meet Monday, Jan. 13, to start off the new year. Hostesses for the meeting will be Jane Linnell, Donna Sweetser and June Spear, and they will be assisted by Joan Libby and Maureen Tibbetts.

The meeting will be held at 2 p.m. at the Park Avenue Methodist Church.

The Androscoggin Readers’ Theatre will present a series of humorous readings. Performing will be Naomi York (director of the group), Dick York, Joanne Sabourin, Nancy Daniels, Linda Jackson-Washburn, Judy Webber and Bob Gardner. Other members of the group who will not be taking part in this show due to having fled to sunny climes are Joel Goodman and Lu Farrington; members having other commitments are Rachel Morin, Pearl Sawyer and Barbara Randall.

The Androscoggin Readers’ Theatre visits local nursing homes and senior living centers around Androscoggin County to entertain the residents. They are on a break now and will resume performing in the spring.

All Art Club members are encouraged to attend, weather permitting, and enjoy a pleasant afternoon.
