LEWISTON — A free cooking class, “The Art of Baking,” with Jordan Fowler, will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at The Ark, 791 Lisbon St.
Fowler is the new chef at The Ark.

LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing is offering a free painting workshop for kids ages 6 and over. “Winter Wonderland” will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at the Dempsey Center, 29 Lowell St.
Professional artist Melanie Therrien, owner of Wicked Illustrations, will lead this expressive arts class and allow participants a chance to escape into a wonderland of their own design and explore the magic of their own creativity. Registration limited to 10.
