GRAY — The wedding of Elizabeth Essinger-Hileman and Seth Morton was held on Sept. 22 at Spring Meadows in Gray. Diana Malcom and Douglas Essinger-Hileman officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Douglas and Sandra Essinger-Hileman of Glen Mills, Pa. The bridegroom is the son of Frederick Morton Jr. and Linda Morton of Poland.

The bride carried a bouqet grown by the family of the bridegroom and arranged by Linda Morton and Debbie Summers.

Serving as honor attendant was sister of the bride, Laura Essinger-Hileman. Bridesmaids were Lauren Sites, friend of the couple from graduate school, and Suzanne Summers, friend of the bride from college, and Lydia Malcom, friend of the bride from State College, Pa.

Serving as best man was Matthew Buck, friend from graduate school. Groomsmen were Kevin Washburn and Erick Millay, friends of the bridegroom from college, and Louie Tremblay, friend of the bridegroom from high school. Ushers were Tom Essinger-Hileman, brother of the bride, and Adam Talpey, cousin of the bridegroom. Ring bearer was Aden Holcomb, nephew of the bridegroom. 

A reception followed at Spring Meadows Banquet Center, after which the couple traveled to Montreal, Canada. They are residing in Hillsboro, Ore.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Albert Gallatin Area High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of New Haven with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and forensic science. She received a doctorate in chemistry in 2013 from Penn State University. She is employed as a chemistry professor at George Fox University and Portland Community College.

The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He received his doctorate in 2012 from Penn State University. He is employed at Intel Corporation in Hillsboro, Ore. as a resolution enhancement technology engineer.
