PARIS — The Western Maine Chapter of the Small Woodland Owners Association of Maine will offer help to landowners concerning the new statewide Shoreland Zoning standards at its meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Oxford Hills High School, Room E118.

Keith Kanoti of the Maine Forest Service will lead the program, which focuses on the new standards that, in some cases, provide more flexibility for landowners.

The meeting will provide everything owners need to know before beginning a harvest or thinning operation. The public welcome and there is no charge. For more information, call chapter leader Rich Merk at 415-1628.
