SABATTUS — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, Jan. 15, for Roger R. Fortin at Our Lady of the Rosary Church. The Rev. Lionel Chouinard celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

The first reading was read by his daughter, Diane Paine, and the second reading was read by his granddaughter, Jennifer Nadeau. Words of remembrance were shared by his grandson, Anthony Poulin.

Pallbearers were his grandsons, Troy Fortin, Donald Fortin Jr., Nicholas Ouellette, Anthony Poulin, Justin Fortin and Trevor St. Clair. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Hawthorne House in Freeport and to Barbie Walker for the wonderful care they provided Roger.
